Where Fathom is better

Fathom has been running since 2018, includes at least 50 sites on every plan according to its pricing page, and offers a simple dashboard with event and revenue values. If you run many small sites and only need traffic numbers, its per-account pricing across sites is hard to beat.

  • You manage dozens of small sites on one bill.
  • You only need traffic analytics and want a long-established vendor.
  • You prefer closed-source software with vendor-run infrastructure only.

Where ProductLense is better

ProductLense connects to Stripe, Paddle and nine other billing sources, so each channel shows customers, revenue, refunds and fees. Add ad spend and you get profit, CAC, ROAS and payback. ProductLense is free up to 10k events and has INR pricing for India.

  • You want to know which channel pays you, after spend and fees.
  • You want a free tier or INR pricing.
  • You bill through Paddle, Razorpay, Dodo Payments or another provider Fathom cannot read.

ProductLense vs Fathom: questions

Does Fathom connect to Stripe?
Fathom records revenue values you send with events, so you can see revenue per goal. It does not read Stripe or other billing providers directly, as far as its pricing page shows. ProductLense connects to the provider and imports customers, payments, refunds and fees, then attributes each payment to the visitor’s first touch.
Is ProductLense cheaper than Fathom?
At 10k a month ProductLense is free; Fathom’s lowest plan is $15 a month for up to 100k pageviews. At 1M ProductLense Growth is $49 against Fathom’s $60, and at 10M ProductLense Scale is $149 against $200, from Fathom’s pricing page on 11 October 2026. Fathom includes 50 sites; ProductLense Growth includes 10.
Are both tools GDPR friendly without a banner?
Both avoid cookies and persistent identifiers, which is why many sites run them without a consent banner. ProductLense hashes the IP with a daily salt and never stores it, keeps raw events 90 days and runs on servers in Germany. Whether you need a banner is your decision with your legal advisor.
Does Fathom have a free plan?
No. Fathom has a 7-day trial that needs a card and plans from $15 a month for 100k pageviews, according to its pricing page on 11 October 2026. ProductLense is free up to 10k events a month on one site, and Starter is $19 for 100k events.
Can ProductLense track many sites like Fathom?
ProductLense Free includes 1 site, Starter 3, Growth 10, and Scale has no site limit, with the event allowance shared across the account. If you run dozens of small sites without revenue, Fathom’s 50-site plans may suit you better; ProductLense is built for products where revenue per channel matters.
